Bucherer Vintage Marcasite Flower Basket Peekaboo Brooch Watch — Swiss, c. 1920s-1930s  A superb and rare example of Swiss mid-century jeweled watchmaking, this Bucherer brooch watch is a masterwork of the silversmith's and watchmaker's art combined. The piece is designed as a two-part pendant brooch: a marcasite-set ribbon bow pin on top, suspending a magnificent flower basket watch pendant below — a charming secret that rewards the curious.  The Bow Pin The upper brooch bar is crafted as a graceful double-scroll ribbon bow, its entire surface paved with faceted marcasite stones in open silver work with fine milgrain detailing. A small navette-shaped marcasite drop link connects the bow to the pendant below. The reverse carries the brooch pin mechanism.
