Mizuya Tansu Antique Retro Chest of Drawers

This is a mizuya tansu (kitchen chest of drawers) that my grandfather cherished.
Even when the handles came off or broke, he would repair them, saying it was made of expensive persimmon wood.
The fit is poor, and I believe it can only be used for display purposes. However, the wood grain is beautiful, and in retrospect, I think persimmon wood might have referred to black persimmon.
It is from before the war, and I hope to find someone who can appreciate it as an antique piece of furniture.
