Although it has been several years, I was told it was re-sewn domestically by hand. I purchased it at an event at an antique shop and have kept it in storage since. The armpit openings have reinforcement fabric, and the sewing thread is strong and durable. Although there is slight fading in the fabric, the fabric was in good condition, so I didn't see any noticeable damage.
