Vintage 1980s Fun World Li'l Miss Strawberry Halloween Costume & Hat Mask Set

Up for sale is a vintage 1980s Halloween costume set featuring Fun World's Li'l Miss Strawberry character — a charming, unlicensed Strawberry Shortcake-inspired piece from the early days of the fruit-themed character craze.  The set includes two pieces:  1. Li'l Miss Strawberry Vinyl Costume  Flat vinyl smock-style Halloween costume printed with the full Li'l Miss Strawberry character illustration in classic red, pink, and green. Copyright Fun World Div., Glen Cove, N.Y. 11542. Made in Taiwan.  2. Strawberry Hat/Hair Cardboard Mask  Die-cut cardboard half-mask designed as a large strawberry-patterned bonnet hat with yellow curly ringlet hair. Elastic string for wearing. Condition:  • Costume: Good vintage condition; shows folding/crease marks from storage, as expected for age  • Mask: Good vintage condition; some cracking/separation at eye area, slight wear to edges consistent with age  • Both pieces are complete and display well  These are great examples of the budget costume style that dominated drugstores and variety shops throughout the late 1970s and early 1980s.
