N.B. Rogers Art Nouveau Trinket Box 812-882 Jewelry Casket Rose Floral Gold Tone. Gold tone gilt Art Nouveau oval shaped jewelry casket box with a nature inspired motif of roses and organic vines. Richly embossed with high relief prominent raised dimensional roses and scrolling foliage across the lid and body. Supported by four stylized gently curved footed legs. Heavily weighted. Early 1900s (Edwardian era). Marked on the bottom: N. B. ROGERS A.P. CO and the model number 812-882. Metal unknown. This magnificent vanity box is a wonderful addition to any Edwardian or Victorian-style decor, or a thoughtful gift for a collector of vintage jewelry boxes. Preowned with wear: overall finish wear, patina, tarnish, antique discoloration, no lining, hinge works but the lid is misaligned. Picture #2 was taken outside in the natural light.
