Thank you for viewing my Mercari listing. This item is an original oil painting from the Showa era, featuring a maiko (apprentice geisha) by Haru Nagai, a member of the Tobi-kai art society, presented in an antique frame. Haru Nagai, born in 1925, was a well-regarded painter from Aichi Prefecture, known for her depictions of maiko and nudes, and a recipient of numerous awards. She excelled at painting beautiful maiko in kimono. The artwork itself is from the Showa period. The oil painting measures approximately 45 cm in height and 38 cm in width. The framed dimensions are roughly 63 cm in height, 55 cm in width, and 5 cm in depth. Please consider these as approximate overall dimensions. The painting itself shows no scratches and is in good condition considering its age. However, the frame exhibits signs of wear consistent with its age, which we hope you will understand as a testament to its historical character. We would be delighted if collectors, both domestic and international, who are interested in this exquisite oil painting of a maiko by a Tobi-kai affiliated artist, would consider displaying it as a decorative object in their rooms or establishments.
