Description
Unique vintage shoulder bag. This is from the 1950s. It is made of twisted hemp/straw that is connected together in a friendly pattern. In the center of each side is a hand embroidered needlepoint circle of stitched flowers. The straps of the purse are made of rope that is connected with wooden beads/cogs. There is one open pocket on the inside that goes the full length of the purse. The purse is closed by a zipper at the top. The needlepoint is still completely intact with no fraying or unwinding. The strap drop is 16 1/2'. The height of the bag is 9. The length of the bag is 12, the depth of the bag is 1 1/2 at the base. Feminine needlepoint floral detail adds a vintage-inspired touch. Neutral cream tone pairs well with casual and dressy looks.
