This is a tare (hip protector) for Kendo equipment from Eiko Budogu, featuring a 2.0-bu hand-stitched navy leather specification.
It was purchased several years ago and used alternately with another tare, so it has not been used very frequently. The decorative kumo (cloud) pattern gives it a distinctive design, and it is a custom-made tare. It was purchased individually at the Koshigaya main store. For this listing, two tears have been repaired by a Kendo equipment store (see photos 3 and 4), and the tare has been washed and re-dyed with indigo at home. (Only the surface has been re-dyed; please refer to photo 12 for the back.)
I am listing it at a low price, so I would be happy if someone could use it.
