Description
Antique Dresden relish dish with hand-painted roses, gilt handles, and lidded center well. German, ca. 1900–1915. A rare antique Dresden porcelain relish dish featuring four divided sections, a lidded center well, and elegant scroll gilded handles. Decorated in the Dresden style with lush roses and floral sprays, this piece is richly accented with raised gold detail and scalloped edges. The underside bears a hand-painted gold decorator number 7274, a typical Dresden studio mark used for pattern tracking in the late 19th and early 20th century. This form and decoration are attributed to the Franziska Hirsch Dresden studio, active ca. 1893–1930, often working on Heinrich & Co. blanks. Details: • Diameter (dish only): ~11.5″ • Width, handle-to-handle: ~12.5″ • Height: ~1.75″ (2.5″ to top of handles) • Center well: 4 diameter, 1.5 height Condition: Excellent antique condition overall. Hand-painted florals and gilt remain vibrant and intact. There is a tiny nick on the inner rim of the center well (see close-up photo), very discreet and hard to notice unless closely inspected. No cracks or repairs observed. Displays beautifully. Materials: • Fine porcelain • Hand-painted decoration • Gold gilt accents Era / Origin: Antique, circa 1900–1915. Dresden, Germany. This elegant divided tray is perfect for serving relishes, nuts, or candies, and makes a gorgeous centerpiece or display piece for collectors of fine German porcelain.
