Federal Glass 4" X 4" Square Refrigerator Dish w/ Lid & vegetable pattern FEG18

Vintage Federal Glass ribbed square refrigerator dish with a lid, featuring an embossed vegetable pattern.   The dish was made by the Federal Glass Company, which produced these items between 1900 and 1980.   It is made of clear, pressed depression glass.   The square dish measures around 4 x 4 in length and width, and about 3.25 inches in height with the lid.   These dishes were designed for food storage in early refrigerators and often featured finger grips on the lids for easy handling and stacking.   The specific vegetable pattern is a discontinued design, often referred to as pattern FEG18 by collectors.   One small chip on the container itself, and 3 small chips on the inside of the lid - all referenced in the last three pictures with the blue circles.
