Vintage Kilkenny "Made in Ireland" White Stoneware Teapot 1970's Blue Banded

Vintage Kilkenny white stoneware teapot from Ireland, likely produced in the 1980s. This piece features a simple, nautical and coastal aesthetic with a blue band around the lid opening and two blue bands around the base. The base is marked with the Kilkenny Double K stamp and reads Made in Ireland. About Kilkenny Design: Kilkenny Design originated in 1963 as the Kilkenny Design Workshops, a state-supported Irish initiative created to improve design standards and promote Irish manufacturing and exports. The workshops operated until 1988 and played a significant role in the development of modern Irish craft and industrial design. In 1999, the Kilkenny Design name was acquired and continued as a privately owned Irish design and retail brand. Due to the change in markings post 1999, this piece dates to before the acquisition, and when the workshops were producing stoneware.  This is a Beautiful Vintage Collectible Teapot in excellent condition. • No chips • No cracks • No crazing The lid has a very small imperfection/crack under the knob (only visible when the lid is turned upside down, pictured). This appears to be a manufacturing flaw that does not affect function or stability.
