Brass Tsuba with Arabesque Pattern, Round Shape, Unsigned, Single Hole for Nakago
A simple tsuba for a tanto. Recommended for a dignified tanto koshirae.
The arabesque pattern emerges when you shine a light on it and change the angle. It is actually an elaborate masterpiece.
A hamidashi tsuba (protruding tsuba) is a small tsuba made to protrude slightly outward from the edge of the saya or tsuka.
It is characterized by being mainly seen on tanto koshirae. Although small, it has practical functions and is used as decoration for small swords (chisagata-na), and has existed since ancient times in the history of Japanese tanto.
As it is an old item, there are signs of age-related dirt and small scratches. Please check the images.
